Wow. Finally.

Submit - The Ruby In the Rough

At 12:03 on Tuesday, My girlfriend called me to tell me that she had bought my album off of iTunes. That was the start of a great day.

Here it is. Click the pic for a direct link to buy the album. Words barely express how excited I am about this. It's been such a long road blah blah, but seriously, to get this body of work into the public is a real treat/necessity for me and I'm so glad that its out. Hopefully you can hear/feel the artistic direction on this on change, so that you'll be able to feel where I've been/am/going. Yes having this album be available on "The worlds leading digital music retailer" is a huge accomplishment, but I gotta make like Jay and swiss and be "On to the Next One" Next project you ask? eh. I'll let this one soak in before I start talking about that. But know that you'll be seeing alot more of a simpler side of me. SUBMiT on the radio? eh, we'll see.

I'm hoping to flip the money from this/t-shirt sales to have pressed up hard copies for those with physical collections, so I'm using my money to make music money to make music. I'm not "Hip-hop stuntin'" yet, so support the art, please.

Thanks to EVERYONE involved in the project, directly or indirectly. Shouts to J. Nolan, D. Julien, Hunter Dolan, Mattha Skeltah, Pharoh, Kid Vicious (or Darius Roy, haha idk what you're going by right now hahah)Street Radio, Matt Newlin, Andrew Lewis, Felicia Ray.

And that's just musically. GIANT ups to Corey "CB" Barber. Dude, you've done alot for me, and even without the title, you've helped me push this SUBMiT thing and I can't wait to see what we do from here. HUGE shouts to Ijeoma Emeonye (Big sis) for being my substitute mom for the first half of my life, listening to the album before it dropped and letting me know how much she loved me and how talented I was. Ukandu "Chido" Emeonye (Big bro/best friend), aka PigSkin Job, for showing me what hard work is. NO ONE I know works as hard as you man, and you challenge me to do that, and that's a part of what got this album finished. Ali Newlin (The girl/bestfriend)for letting me know that Kelechi and SUBMiT are two different people, and that they are the same person...just that i can actually do something through this music thing. Shouts to Kevin "Big Homie"(best friend/little bro) Jordan, for keeping me sane with your insanity. Tripp Durden for being a mini-me and yet so different than me. And for preselling CD's. Shouts to all of my Montanan fanatics. haha Especially You Ogle! EVERYONE!!! Every single person who has ever listened to a SUBMiT song and told someone else about it. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

and now..."On to the next one" - Jay Z

So lthis is Ill...No pun intended

What's up. It's SUB.

so to keep you guys posted got a few posts on a "well known" blog. haha On illroots. This is pretty cool for me...

http://illroots.com/2009/03/12/submit-to-the-dopeness/

Shouts to KINGGS for the feature. he was LOVING the music. made sure the post was great for exposure for me. that was like CRAZY love. Thanks dude.

Alriht. The Sky Might Fall joint is ridiculous. getting lots of love on that one. a little qualm; lots of blogs have said that they wouldnt post it because the song isn't out but hey, I thought we're supposed to be looking for "dat new new" (CuDi) So its like who not post something that isnt even out yet? Whatever though. nothing i can do about it. Not my fault that i'm a bit ahead of the curve (dan weisman) haha whatever.

HEY it's SUBMiT

Finally a post. I'm horrible at forming/breaking habits so i kept posting blog updates on my myspace but I want to make posting here priority one so here's some updates.

Mineshaft Vol. 3 is on its way. It's like the "prequel" to Ruby in the Rough and it'll be free (of course.) It features tracks from WAY back when. as in 1st recordings that I've ever done. Why? Well wouldn't you like to be able to hear some of Jay's 1st tracks? Not because theyre gonna be pure lyrical fire, but to see how far he's progressed. There will be some new tracks on there also. Not a bunch of my old stuff. but the point of the Mineshaft Vol. 3, like any mineshaft, is to lead to the gems, (ie. The Ruby in The Rough)

I think everyone will better understand who I am and What The ruby in the Rough is after hearing The Mineshaft. And I've decided (Without consulting CB, He'll agree though) to drop The Mine Shaft on April 1st (yes april fool's day)

And to celebrate finally having a date for the tape (accidental rhyming..I'm a "rapper") here's my new favorite "remix" track I've ever done.

KiD CuDi x SUBMiT - Sky Might Fall [remix]
http://www.zshare.net/audio/56795261860ba271/

I love the feel of this song and the beat was undeniable.

that's it check the myspace (Myspace.com/SUBMiTMovement) and whatnot

We Ca Rebuild Him: Faster, Stronger, Better...

Time to change this blog up a lil bit!

from now on we are going to bring you into the world
of SUBMiT and SAYved Management...

Joseph Kony = Monster
Child Soldiers = Need to be Helped
...enough said.

www.invisiblechildren.com

Every week we will be highlighting a particular cause or movement
that deserves light to be shed on it, WE believe in changing the world
and making positive moves. Everyone can use their talents to help
better their surroundings, no matter what those talents are.
That's one reason we do this.

We want to make a difference.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clothing Article of The Week: We all like clothes, and we all have to wear them. Sort of.
Anyways this section will be dedicated to the fashion industry and those weird
pieces of sewed cotton, and nylon that we drape our persons with. Depending on whose
updating the site(Either Kelechi or Me) The clothing will definitely be different.
I personally love what is hard to obtain, and not by media standards.(i.e. Red Monkey, RL Purple Label, etc.) And Kelechi hehmmm, SUBMiT, has a knack for turning antique into retro and old into vintage.(Just ask his Kon's)

/
brought to you by the French designer Lanvin. These sneakers are a mix between
converse and something from a different galaxy. Hopefully you have that
other world's currency because these are way to expensive in earth dollars.
They are unique, they're fun, there fresh on the market. Pick me up some if you can.
(My favorite color is blue)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The third and final new section to this blog will cover, what else, Music!
right now I have to run to the bank so I dont have time to inform you on
what it will have instore but, you can always find out by subscribing to our
blog and checking back in with us.

That's all for today

Peace
adios
and God Bless.

Que dice!!!

What's up world?

Been a while. The whole SUBMiT SAYved Management crew is hard
still hard at work! The "Ruby in The Rough" Album is coming
along beautifully! We are making final cuts now but it's always hard
not to put out all of your music, especially when its top quality.

Yes, the rumors are true. There is a show in the works. A big show.
I mean, please don't call the fire marshal big show. I mean how
did he get every underground progressive artist in Atlanta big show.
Where? The location isn't specified so we can't leak any info yet
but our management team is steadily working through all the kinks
and what nots. But keep the buzz going, keep it alive. It is happening
and it will be something to remember.

The you tube channel has been created and posts will be added soon
just search for this same name on youtube. We'll keep some
video posts out there, freestyles, and guest interviews for you.

Stay tuned.
And don't forget to tell your mom about us!
